Peer Ministry
Peer Ministry is the Good Samaritan Story. Instead of preaching it or teaching it we are applying real skills to it. Peer Ministers develop communication skills that allow them to reach out beyond themselves and effectively help those around them. Skills include listening, questioning, non-verbal communication, how to welcome a stranger, values, and decision-making — all in the context of Christian faith. It’s an education of the heart intended to last a lifetime. Peer Ministry training is offered to youth after they are confirmed, during their sophomore year.
