Our vision at Ascension is to be a house of hospitality built on the foundation of sharing the living faith in Jesus Christ at home, in the congregation, and community. An important means by which we help carry out the mission and vision of this congregation is through our faithful financial giving. It is through the generous giving by Ascension’s members that we are able to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to our families, our congregation, our community, and the world. “And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work” - 2 Corinthians 9:8. Out of thanksgiving for all of God’s abundant blessings in our lives, we give to carry out the good work of ministering to others.
Ascension offers several giving methods for members’ convenience. We are happy to provide you with special giving envelopes. We also offer the option of a once-a-month automatic withdrawal of your offering from your checking or savings account. Many households find this an easy, convenient way by which to give on a regular basis. Contact the church office to sign up. In addition, we offer secure, on-line giving through our website. Simply click “Give Online.”
Other electronic giving options available include Give by Text and the Give+ app, available for both Apple and Android devices. To give by text, simply text the amount you wish to donate to 605-610-1202. (Be sure to use the dollar sign before the amount.) You will receive a registration link to enter your contact and payment information. To give through the app, simply go to the app store and download the GivePlus app. Detailed instructions for both Give by Text and Give+ are available on the kiosk.
Please prayerfully consider how you can honor God by giving your tithe (10%) and offerings. Giving is a part of our worship and expression of thanksgiving to God. “Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” - 2 Corinthians 9:7.
