In our “Walk with Jesus” campaign this year, I hope that you took time simply to walk with Jesus, to listen to Jesus teach, and ask yourself: what do I have to share with the hungry and hungry in spirit in Brookings? What financial resources do I have? What time do I have? What gifts do I have to share? On October 16 and 17, please bring both your estimate of giving card and Stewardship of Gifts & Services sheet to return, or you may mail them prior to that weekend. The Gifts & Services form may also be submitted through the church app (under the Serve tab). There will also be a box available on the kiosk where you may return them.
Feeding Brookings and Thanksgiving: Ascension will be providing 350 dozen dinner rolls and fresh sweet potatoes for the Thanksgiving trimmings, which will be given away on Thursday Nov. 18th. If you would like to make a donation toward purchasing these, checks can be made to Ascension and indicate “FB-rolls” on the memo line. Other area Churches are donating the rest of the trimmings and we have ordered 250 turkeys from HyVee. When those run out we will give a voucher so families can purchase what they want. The week of Thanksgiving, the usual drive through distribution for Feeding Brookings will be from 4-5pm on Wednesday, November 24th.
