Lenten Sermon Series: The Path of Forgiving Jesus is the path of forgiving. He ate with outcasts and sinners of his world, creating a close bond with them, granting forgiveness, releasing them from sin, and renewing a new relationship with God. (Matthew 8:9-13) Yet, how do we follow Jesus on the path of forgiving?
This season of Lent, we will look at a fourfold path of forgiving that Bishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Mpho Tutu, offer in their wonderful book “The Book of Forgiving.” If you are interested in reading it during Lent, this book is available on Amazon or we have some copies available for purchase in the office. $10 per book. Our sermon series will cover the fourfold method covered in this book of telling the story, naming the hurt, granting forgiveness, and renewing or releasing the relationship. Please join us for this sermon series, and enter the path of forgiving.
