Feeding Brookings is a ministry that began on July 8, 2010 at Ascension.  Following Jesus’ example of feeding the crowd with just 2 loaves and 5 fish, this ministry feeds the hungry of the Brookings area.  Through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), Feeding South Dakota and partnership with Wal-Mart, Hy-Vee, and SGS, each week we provide households with canned veggies and fruit, peanut butter, cheese, fresh produce, baked goods, dairy and other grocery items. Through the generosity of many across the community, we also provide personal hygiene items and fresh garden produce.
